Akshay Kumar, the well known Bollywood star, has entered into an agreement with CAA KWAN, an entertainment marketing and management company, and they will be his brand custodian, as well as exclusive representative for various activities including endorsements, live appearances in India and overseas, amongst others. While details of this agreement are sketchy, analysts in the film industry point out that Kumar’s endorsements and allied contracts are worth more than Rs 50 crore each year, and he is also one of the highest tax payers from Bollywood. Kumar has brand associations with Thums Up, Dollar and Signature, amongst others. Akshay Kumar, said, “I have known Anirban and his team at CAA KWAN for several years and I am glad they will represent me in my commercial work.” The other film stars on CAA KWAN’s roster include Ranbir Kapoor, Deepika Padukone and Freida Pinto, amongst others.
