Angry Birds plans Star Wars sequel app

Rovio Entertainment and Lucasfilm have announced plans for “Angry Birds Star Wars II”, which will make its debut on September 19 alongside a range of figures from Hasbro. The sequel to the 2012 app will follow the story of the three prequel Star Wars movies and feature more than 30 characters, many of them brand new. Players will also have the chance to choose which side to fight for, although in this version it’s not the Dark Side but the Pork Side. To complement the game, Rovio has teamed up with Hasbro for a line of more than 30 collectible Telepods figures. The figures come to life in the game when they are scanned by a smart phone or tablet camera.
