India’s Bulldog Media & Entertainment has recently inked a licensing deal with Fox LOOK for a Hindi-language version of its 13x1-hour reality format Beauty and the Geek. The agreement also implies a local Hindi version of the U.S. reality show launching on STAR’s Channel V this month. The localized version is also set to roll out to Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Oman, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, United Arab Emirates, Yemen, Maldives, Nepal, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Hong Kong. The show has managed to strike a chord with viewers and achieve ratings success, no matter in which ever country the show has been localized. Keeping in tune with the taste of the Indian audiences, the show promises to bring yet another revolution to reality television.
