LaLiga has reached a licensing agreement with Minecraft, one of the most popular video games in history. Whereby all players will be able to purchase a LaLiga Santander skin pack to customize their avatar with the jerseys of all 20 teams. In total, 80 skins can be displayed in the worlds and environments created in Minecraft.
Thanks to this agreement, LaLiga ventures into this type of game for the first time. At its core, Minecraft is a game about placing blocks and going on adventures, and players will be able to do all this while representing their favorite LaLiga Santander team. A very important step for LaLiga since Minecraft is one of the best-selling games in history, which is synonymous with the strong commitment to grow and develop the LaLiga brand in all areas.
As a result, during the 2022-23 and 2023-24 seasons, Minecraft players will be able to customize using their favorite LaLiga Santander team all over the world and on any Minecraft Bedrock Edition platform (App Store, Microsoft Store, Xbox, Nintendo and PlayStation) from September 27 by accessing the Marketplace from these providers. In addition, a free LaLiga kit will be available in the Dressing Room.
