Warner Bros Consumer Products has struck a new licensing agreement with Puma to launch a range of co-branded apparel for Tom and Jerry and Superman. The long-term global deal will see Puma produce four new collections celebrating the heritage of the two brands and will also include accessories and footwear. The Tom and Jerry collection will target both children and adults, while the Superman range - developed in partnership with DC Entertainment - will focus on children aged one to 12 years. Pilar Zulueta, executive vice president and general manager, Warner Bros. Consumer Products EMEA, said, "Strength, courage, a commitment to high performance, resilience, sheer determination and a natural energy and exuberance are just some of the qualities that our iconic entertainment characters, Tom and Jerry and Superman, share with Puma. "By joining forces, we will create on-trend, sports-inspired lifestyle products that will encourage consumers to join the chase, find the Super Hero within, or quite simply be best that they can possibly be." Reinhard Dischner, general manager business unit fundamental and kids at Puma, added, "With Warner Bros. Consumer Products and their iconic assets Tom and Jerry and Superman, we have found a great partner who will support us to achieve our ambitious goals for our kids' products in our fundamentals category. And the fact that Tom is a cat - just like our Puma logo - is a nice coincidence." The first Puma collections under the new partnerships will launch for spring/summer 2015 and will be available from December this year.
